Storefront refund window extended to 14 days of playtime-free ownership

The announcement was made in a joint statement on Friday morning and confirmed to Console Alley by two people with direct knowledge of the agreement. Both asked not to be named because they were not authorised to speak publicly.

What changes

For players, the practical effect arrives next year. Existing libraries are not affected, and nothing needs to be done today. Publishers will opt in title by title, which means the rollout will be uneven for at least the first twelve months.

What we do not know yet

Pricing, regional availability and the handling of older titles were not addressed. We have asked each company for comment and will update this story when they reply.

Two sources or it waits. This story met that bar before it was published.

Console Alley will keep following this story. Send tips to the news desk at [email protected].
