How Console Alley reports, corrects and stays independent.

Independence

Console Alley editorial decisions are made by editors alone. Advertisers, publishers and platform holders have no say over what we cover or how we score it.

Sourcing

News stories require two independent sources or one on-the-record source with documentation. Anonymous sources are used only when the information is in the public interest and the source faces real risk.

Corrections

Factual errors are corrected promptly. A dated note at the top of the story explains what changed. We do not silently edit published work.

Gifts and travel

Staff do not accept gifts worth more than a nominal amount. When a publisher pays for travel or supplies review code, the story says so.

Affiliate links and AI

Some buying guides contain affiliate links, disclosed on the page. They never affect recommendations. Every Console Alley article is written and edited by a named human journalist.
